Should I change to organic?

I prefer to grow with this philosophy

1. Yield
2. Aesthetic
3. quality or type of high

By no means is this correct.. I am also the guy thatdoesn't care if he is drinking sierra nevada or budweiser. So take that into consideration... And yesterday while at costco I chose the apples that I thought had the least packaging per apple rather than the ones I thought I'd like the most.

Yield + aesthetic = bling

What! Plants love piss, its pure nitrogen. Most chemicals are derived from urea---
AKA urine. But even if you just piddle a little on them they still need other nutes.

Doesn't using store bought chemicals kind of defeat the purpose of the word "organic?"
I've notice organic doesn't grow as big, but it doesn't have that sour chemically taste
you get if you don't flush your plants like two weeks before they are done budding.
I wish I was rich cause I would throw that poopy chemical tasting shit into the river

Well, are you saying if you were rich you would throw that poopy smelling chemical nuts away and just take a big crap to give your babies food?

I have been thinking of going organic, but i am damed all the hell if I will let my plants eat my piss and shit, and then smoke it...... Guana has been proccessed. My big fat turd I lay at that base of my choice plant is not. Let me ask you something, do you have wet dreams of sucking you own Penis? hey if you do, no big deal, but if during the day, while you are awake, you are trying to figure out how to do this.. Then something is wrong.

you can do organic in hydro, there are plenty of organic nutes for use in hydro, im using fox farm hydroponic grow big but im using sunshine mix, im also switching over to AN conisuer when im out of the fox farm, i was told by the guy at the store that for hydro their sensi A/B is the prefered one to get, and yes organic nutes in a res will smell a bit but its worth it

Way to come through with that timely info fat sam

I switched when someone gave me a buncha salty promix from their "blue chemical soup grow", and coincidentally on the last chem grow that I did there were some less than good tasting meds harvested.

Growing organically I could make it into much more a project, and it tickled my intellect. In a longer run, the recycling peat-based medium system I set up will probably save some money.

So far the plants like it, and I'm having more fun than before. I also think, plants didn't evolve to suck up nutrient solution. Even if they do it well, I think plants are more at home in an "organic" setting where microbes and naturally made fertz are doin' the work.

LDB.... You can grow organically in hydro. There are lots of fert makers, that make quality ferts, that are all organic or mostly organic. EJ, Botanicare PBP series, FoxFarm, BMO...etc.....
.
You just have to use as directed, forget relying on a TDS meter and expect pH to rise and fall more than with straight chemicals. The key is to oxygenate your res more, and make sure you have at least 2.5 gallons of res per plant. That way the rise and fall of pH and nute levels will be slower and less troublesome.
.
I laugh when people say I don't want to smoke piss or shit, but will smoke weed grown with petroleum waste byproducts. At the end of the day, NPK is NPK. Organic sources just tend to be more complete. Nature breaks them down to soluble form for the plant, instead of harsh chemical processes. That piss & shit, after being bio-converted by beneficial bacteria & fungi, is cleaner they those harsh chemicals.
.
Feed the soil, or in your case, the water, and let it feed the plants.
.
Keep it Real...Organic.... cause harsh chemicals are for cleaning your toilet......

In which type of set-up? Here: https://www.rollitup.org/organics/26286-should-i-change-organic-2.html#post276041 says that it works in a modified-feeding schedule with ebb & flo.

But as I am quickly learning, it organics do not work with DWC. (Can't keep the pH down.)

I went Organics 7 years ago, mixed my soils with nutrients, took to much time and some of the stuff is not good for your lungs. I went to ProMix and chems. that lasted 4 months. PH PPM EC hell to much work. Must be a better way and I think I found it so far. I use a mix of 50/50 proMix and Coco. I use raised beds indoors 4x5 and feed 1/2 strength Pure blend pro soil and cal/mag, grozyme, Liquid Karma. I feed them every 5 to 7 days and just water for the last 10 days. Yes I use the same soil over and over. It's that keep it simple idea.

Keep It Simple Stupid

I have better or equal amount per light. But I have the best tasting and smoking herb ever. It workes great. I have more time to enjoy.

Peace
