It seems like my soil bill is as high as my electric bill lately.I use oceans forest and some locally farmed castings.Those castings are $13.00 for 10lb.,its burning me a new asshole......Peace

My soil mixes are always as follows

2 parts Ocean Forest
1 part coir
1 part chunk perlite
Dolomite Lime

I like to feed my plants everything they need through teas that I make.

I don't understand why more people on this site do not run dolomite lime in their soil. If you mix it all properly, you won't have to worry about PH. The dolomite lime buffers the PH. I check the PH of the run off every now and then to make sure things are good and they always are. Screw the ph up and down.

so if i use dolomite lime i won't have to PH?

I have never checked the PH of my water and nutes. I have only PH'ed the run off to check if things are cool.. They are good every time, always between 6.6-6.8.
