Organic Fertilizer Sticks - need advice

Does anyone have any experience using fertilizer sticks. I've got a few of these and was thinking about trying them out during flowering (2-7-4).

Any advice on how to use them? I'm thinking about grinding them up and mixing into the water.

I know these are slow release nutes, and usually shouldn't be used. But hopefully grinding them and mixing them with water will help out.
