this is my first time using the veg but ive used the bloom a few times.ive been usings these nutes together for a couple weeks and no prblems at all.and if you give a good 2 week flush then it wont affect the taste at all.i will say this though, that alaska fish veg is some nasty smelling shit, but the plants love it
and like i said experiment to find out what works best for you, theres alot of variabals,strains,lights,exhaust,co2,temps,nutes,e xt.everybody gets slightly diffrent results

These nutes are not very strong and i also , water, nutes, nutes, nutes, water, with NO problems ......... but just like most foods it alters the ph bigtime, THAT WILL HURT UM , but the nutes will not burn um .
I use 1 1/2 TB of grow- 1 TB of bloom - 1 tsp of metaK - 1/2 tsp of microblast ( once in 2 weeks for the micro) and 2 tsp of catalyst (once a week on cat)

If you guys are using organic soil with dolomite lime added to it you shouldn't have to adjust the PH. The Dolomite lime will buffer it out once it's in the soil.

you are right on that one .............but apparently the dolomite was too old or somthin as soon as i started using ph up , they started lookin better. my water starts at 7.0 to 7.5 and with the EJ nutes mixed (for bloom) the ph is 4.6 to 5.0 , now I dont have a problem with that but i think the lime does .... it dont seem to be workin on this batch........My promix is either 2 years old or it expired 2 years ago ... so i just figured that is why my ph was fucked up soo bad .... the only other thing i can think of is the microbes had all died in the old dirt , so i also added more but that was after i started fixing my ph.....? so i am still very confused on this whole deal. I have made it through several grows with MG potting mix , blood meal, and bone meal .. and never tested anything and always used tap water w/NO problems until now..... and really the only thing i have changed is going to the EJ nutes?
im not sure but i think i got it figured out now , my tap water is just fucked where i am at ... so i'll go from there.

ran 6.8 through the pot and the run off was 6.4 so i dont know

i do know that dolomite lime is a natural ph up (but will only go up so far) so i would guess an say the lime is not working for some reason ? So i am gonna get some fresh lime to mix in with the promix next time .... and i have some microbes to add to the new ones (in that expired dirt) so maybe that will help too. as for the ones in bloom right now , they are just now at 4 weeks and for the last 2 weeks they were locked up or close to it (barely eatin shit) but the last 5 or 6 days they have been gettin their dark green back (in buds only , the fan leaves are almost gone already) so I KNOW they will finish up but i still dont know whats causeing this major set back?

here is a link with most of my info in it : i feel like a newb, please help!/pics

Peace. I too am using the EJ products and I wondered about raising the pH of the solution. Don't have up or down but I do have baking soda and vinegar. Will this be good enough to add to the EJ nutes to adjust pH?

yes i did , but they were locked up so the flushing just made it worse till they finally drank all the water. i know for sure they were locked out , i just cant figure out exactly why? last bloom they were the same way, nice and healthy until about 1st or 2nd week of bloom , then they start locking up , and last time they just fixed theirselves around week 3 .......... this time they are looking better at week 4 but not NEAR what they would have been without the "problem"
(my soil is sterile so i have to add all the nutes except microblast and thats because my water is over 700 ppm on the tds meter!) and my water is another thing that i am guessing is a problem............

soda and vinegar is not stable so i would go with EJ's natural ph up or if u add the right amount of dolomite lime to the soil before u plant then it will "buffer" it up to where it needs to be. (most soil/soiless mediums are made up of mostly peat and i believe peat holds a very low ph and then most organic nutes lower the ph too so i guess if u factor the 2 together then u have a MAJOR need for "up" or lime ..............
