All of my vegan leftover scrap go into the worm bin, and out comes the black gold that makes my soil thrive. The same way that I don't consider raising your own animals for slaughter to be wrong, or hunting for food to be wrong either (not saying its vegan, I just don't see anything wrong with it if you can stomach doing it). I'm not a fan of trophy hunting, but if you are going to hunt for food, then I see no problem in it. But I know that 'some' vegans (mainly from the PETA mafia) see even hunting (something that native americans and hunter/gatherer tribes have been doing for thousands of years) as wrong. I'm sorry, I'm just not that dogmatic. And PETA are a bunch of self-rightous fringe dogmatists that makes all vegans look bad and one of the central reasons why veganism is frowned upon (besides for the strange fact that most omnivores seem 'threatened' by vegan lifestyle, and will bash it to no end, but at no time will look into the horrible things that go on inside of factory farms & slaughterhouses.)
Thank you for taking the time to post. I'm not a vegan but have zero ill feelings towards those that are. I will not be using worm-castings in this grow by choice but can understand the point you made about home-breed wigglers being considered vegan. This grow is using---------rock powders---minerals---alfalfa meal---cottonseed meal---seaweed---plant derived base for N/P/K----simple and complex carbs(sugars)----beneficial fungi and bacteria----and enzymes. If you could post any tips on this thread from your vegan grows that would be very helpful and appreciated...Best of grows to you...

Picked up some alfalfa meal(vega super booster--lol) and cottonseed meal from the local bursary. Will post pics---Going to brew a fresh batch of vega-brew tea. I will use the GH vega tea and also mix fresh cotton and alfalfa meal in the brew with some cal/mag and some seaweed. I will bubble the tea for 24 hours and then add some beneficials before I chill the mix to 68(optional). Going to post some pics with the steps in the next couple of days...

Have any soil recipes for this? What kind of mix are you using? You say you are using minerals and such, at what kind of ratios? Been doing the organic thing for many years now, but would love to switch over to veganics. The CRUELTY free way to grow! haha

Do you build up a soil, or do you use teas to feed? What kind of ratios of teas do you use? Thanks again! Great thread!
