Hello all, does anyone here use a vaporizer and if you do can you clue me in. Do they work, are they worth it? Please give me your input. i am so close to purchasing one and would like your opinions.

2 of my friends own the Volcano, which is one of most classic vaporizers on the market. not only is it healthier (the weed gets vaporized rather than burned, eliminating toxins, and only vaporizing THC), but you can actually taste your weed without any harshness when inhaling, and ZERO smoke (if you choose via the dial settings) when you exhale. definitely worth it if you have the money. but i wouldn't recommend a cheap one, which gives vaporizers a bad rap.

now if they can only come up with vaporized blunts...

dude a vaporizer is the best thing you could buy especially if u do sports.. and u can use it in ur room without any smell

While top rated in its category, bag-style vapes, they ask way to much money for the Volcano. For me, I mainly use the whip and like being able to power-rip as well as pass the bag around. lol

After lots of consideration, I bought the V-Extreme last year. Thrilled to death with it!. I might try the Silver Surfer next time since I have found I enjoy whip hits so much. But, it you want the best of both worlds and a full digital unit that does both whips and bags well, the Extreme is the way to go. It has every feature you could ask for IMO. Gone are the days of the "black flem" lol I use my vape about 90% of the time now.

You are so right about the difference in the high. Since your body does not have the adverse reaction to the carcinogens when vaping, your high is definitely cleaner and different. Since my unit can hold material for hours without wasting it, I just pass by and grab a whip hit or two every now and again and then I am back to gardening.

Vapourisers are good stuff, but you gotta pay a lot of money for a good one, otherwise it'll burn up a lot of THC without you even realising. A good bong with an ice chamber is just as nice, you still get smoke but for me that's what cannabis culture is about.

Vaporizer work by heating the marijuana to about 350 degrees F. This is the temperature when thc turns into a vapor. So you are breathing in vapor instead of smoke. When you burn marijuana it combusts and chemical reactions take place and you get things like tar and carbon monoxide.... which are not good for you. Vaporizing tastes better, smells better, is healthier, and is a better way to get thc into your bloodstream. Smoking will destroy some thc. You can spend about 125 on a box style vaporizer and those work well. Basically you pack a bowl and attach the bowl to a heating element and start sucking from the other end of a tube and eventually nice yummy vapor will come out.

i just got an iolite but the heating is preset, so its kind of hard to get hits when the buds fresh

you may want to consider the halogen vaporizer on the DIY forum
i built it and it works superbly! no toxic materials and you can be sure of this when you assemble it
this is not the case of some low priced vaporizers
