Default Has Anyone Tried EZ-Coco?
So I just found a hydroponics store sort of near where I live (the only store within a 74 mile radius apparently), and the guy and I started talking about mediums. I told him I use soil and was interested in his FoxFarm products. He was wondering if I had considered going hydroponic and I said sort of. He then told me about and gave me a free sample of a medium called EZ-Coco which he said is a great transitional medium between soil and hydro. He showed me some of the plants he was growing with it and they looked great. Apparently EZ-Coco is an organic medium composed of coconut fibers that you mix 70/30 with perlite to make this really light and fluffy medium. The benefits appear to be amazing root growth and drainage while being able to easily maintain a stable pH (the best of both the hydro and soil worlds). You also get a lot more Coco for a lower price than soils. He showed me a 3 pound brick of condensed Coco that you prepare with water to make the equivalent of 19 pounds of soil.

That's about all I know about it, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with EZ-Coco or has heard anything else about it, good or bad. He gave me a half-pound free sample, so I think I'm going to try it with one or two of my plants on my next grow.
