I need help mixing my soil. The below ingredients are the ingredients I will be using, I know I could/should use more, but this is what I've got and this is it. The soil will be used for flowering.
How many parts of each I should be mixing? And how long should I let the soil "sit" for before transplanting my plants into it? I would try to not use a soil with a wetting agent in it, unless you're growing outside. Too much moisture is MJ enemy; especially in flower.
Also don't add blood to a flowering mix, because it's high in nitrogen and that's flowerings enemy. I would go with a similar off the shelf mix (minus the wetting agent), and add 20% Pearlie to it. You could add some bone meal if you want to use that for fertilizer. supplementing with a flowering nute like earth juice is also a good idea.

If I was to use the soil I've got, plus the bone meal and perlite, what would be the mixing ratio? |

You definitely want the perlite. I've been growing in this mix and my plants are really happy in it. If anything its a little rich. Just to give you an idea of the proportions....
32 Qts Hyponex Soil -Organic material and Primarily derived from hypnum Peat, Forest products or Compost, Sand and Perlite. 32 Qts New Era potting mix - 40% peat, 35% composted organic material, 20% vermiculite, 5% sand. This is very light like a starter mix. 15 lbs worm castings 8 Qts perlite 1 cup sand 1/2 cup lime 10 Tbls Blood meal 12 Tbls Bone meal But for a flowering mix I skip the Blood meal, half the bone meal, and I added 10 TBLS batguano (0-5-0) Theres a lot of peat in the New Era mix hence the 1/2 cup lime (fine dolomite) ![]() ![]()
