Organic Tea Going Bad?

When I mix a batch of organic tea (I use Earth Juice), there's definitely a shit smell to it that I expect. But sometimes if I still have some of the batch left after about 7-10 days, it "turns" on me and gets reeaaally funky.

When it gets to this point, has it gone bad, or is it just getting good? I've been throwing it out and making a new batch when it starts smelling rotten. Is that the right thing to do?

I'm no expert but when my tea is at its best it has an earthy smell to it,rotten smell cant be good. Ask Ohsogreen he is the MASTER of brewing a GOOD tea...
