Default Planting directly into Ocean forest?
Planning on starting some autoflowers here soon. Was wondering if it would be all right to put seeds into FFOF right after germination or if there is a chance burn or stunting would occur. Anyone with experience doing this it would be much appreciated if you answered.

i start my seeds in it and don't have trouble. I've heard people complain about burn from it though so maybe it's strain dependant.

I transplanted 4 two week old seedlings (white widow, himalaya gold, afgan kush and cheese) into straight FFOF and they got a little burned. The Himalaya had it the worst but all in all it wasn't to bad and they recovered in two weeks. I think I would start them in something else. I've used scotts or MG seed starting soil and have never had a problem with it. It's very mild.

Ive had great results with Fox Farms Happy Frog. After Germinating from paper towel I go straight into Happy Frog in a small container then transplant later into your soil of choice. I go with 50% FF Ocean Forest-20% FF Happy Frog - 15% Really Rich Natural Soil from my garden - 10% M.G. Potting Mix - 5% Sand and Perlite, that allways works great 4 me outdoors anyway.

I went from jiffy pots to ff as soon as i seen the seedling break the dirt. I had no burn I did drench the soil down for about 2 days prior to moving them But they turned out fine.

ive done it no problems if your worried you could run some water through the soil to flush it a bit though i dont think thats needed. just dont use a soil with blood meal it burns sprouts ff is mostly bat guano and earthworm castings anyways

I would cut it with 20% pearlite, so it drains better, oxygenates better , and doesn't burn so easily. Just don't use MG pearlite because it contains MG fertiliser.
