I am trying to search for this as we speak.

I am usually a hydro grower, but have decided to try my hands at a soil grow


My plant looks like crap. It's a dutch passion fem clone from my friend's mother plant. I need to flush the soil but don't know the exact procedure. I've never done a soil grow and have mostly only done aero.


Can someone give me a link or just explain what to do? The plant is in a two gallon pot. What pH should i use for flushing? I just watered yesterday, so the soil is already saturated.

This plant isn't looking well. It looks like maglockout and ph imbalance..

id wait a day to flush so u dont over water

I hate coming on here with noob questions that can be solved with simple searches, but this sucks. I've never had a problem like this and I hate to see my plant looking this sad

lol i always thought hydro was harder than soil grows

hydro is way harder, but if you start hydro, soil is too simple, and when hydro grower gives a soil plant too much attention bad things can happen

I'm using some good fox farm soil.. I think some of the problem is that the clone was rooted, then stuck in a jiffy pot inserted into a beer cup. I tried to remove the jiffy pot before transplanting, but the roots were not liking it. Jiffy pots just don't seem like a good idea to me.


Other than that, I've just watered it twice. The plant should be much bigger IMO. The leaves aren't as dark green as i'd like, the tips are curling up, and the lower leaves are turning spotty and dying.


I need to know what kind of volume of water at what ph to flush at.

ya man lol my soil plants looked like crap also, im a hydro grower hands down, and when i finally did soil, plants turned out so crappy, but its a work in progress. flush with some distilled water, 89cent at ur local grocery store. or water thats 7.0

ive seen a grow where a guy had a grow started with seeds in a jiffy pot and he never removed the cloth. 3 mo later his plant was like 4 inches and root bound ass all hell

meh, I'm going to flush it... and hopefully just take some clones off of it

I'm sure it's probably the jiffy pot, because I'm just watering once a week with water that's ~6.5-6.7ish and then just leaving it alone. Like i said, i used really good soil and haven't added any nutes whatsoever. I'm not going to shock it by taking it out and trying to remove even more of the jiffy pot again.


I took it out of the HID closet and threw it under some cfl's... If it recovers i'll be happy. Even if i can just take some clones and get them in something more stable i'll be happy

Just kinda bummed. Wanted to pull a few dozen cuttings off this plant and flower it out.



What kind of volume of water should i use to flush is my main question that i need answered... should i pour a few gallons through?

I believe most people use like 3 times the pot size so 2 gallon pot would be like 6 gallons.
