im growing in the ground with promix,

i use only water and guano/worm casting tea,

i bought a cheap soil ph meter and i tested my beauties and was surprised to see 7,3

is it possible that mexican bat guano is alkaline ??

them testers suck balls I had one and it alway said 7 never moved.

HockeyPlayer... Mexican bat guano is not alkaline, it's always acidic. Pro-Mix is also not alkaline. So, you have two reasons to doubt the meter.

To use the soil pH tester correctly, spoon out an inch of your medium, pour in some of the water you normally use to water with, to wet the soil, then insert the tester's probe(s). Make sure that 75 percent of the testers probe(s) are in the medium, in the wet spot.

The medium has to be moist to give a correct reading on these little L'Cheap"O test meters. Dry soil will always show a pH of 7 with cheap meters. FYI....
