this is my first grow and im just about to switch my plant into flowering. i have been following the fox farm feeding schedule and i was just wondering it says to feed it grow big along with open sesame while watering with no nutrients every other watering.

can i add the open sesame and the grow big/tiger bloom in the same gallon or do i keep them separate so far iv been feeding it the grow big then the open sesame and then plain water then repeat. is this right or can i add them together without burning it?

Your reading too far into it. You add them to the same resivor. However it is important to add your nutes one at a time and let them mix good in the water before you add another. Its telling you not to water everytime with nutes. This means water your plant every other time with plain water.

the way you are describing your waterings it sounds like you pour the bottle of foxfarm into your plant straight from the bottle and then water with plain water. I know this is not the case though. Becarefull with foxfarm...you may want to only feed it half what it is telling you. Just my experience with the product line.

just because the product tells you how much to use dosnt mean everyplant wants the same thing. Some plants dont want a lot and then they burn. You have to use your own intuition on these things.

i was thinking about topping it before i put it into flowering. good idea?

Pruning during flowering is not advised as the plant will be forced to divert its energy from bud production into branch and leaf production. This results in a slower rate of bud growth. For optimal growth finish your pruning well before flowering. I usually start topping around 7-8 nodes. But i like them bushy. If you top it now the two top colas will simply share the same volume of bud that a single cola would have produced the same.
