Default could I get some advice?
Hi all, this is my first post here so please be gentle. I am currently growing DP Blueberry. I have two fems flowering with clones of each just starting to root. I started the moms from seed in Miracle Grow organic (big mistake). Every time I watered the leaves would yellow and growth would stop. I transplanted them into larger pots with miracle grow soil and perlite. I used a 50/50 mix. They responded very well. Culled out the mutants and males and as stated earlier I have two females currently flowering under 400W HID. I just purchased Fox Farms Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom. I have also purchased a PH meter and ph up and down. I plan on using FF Ocean Forest soil. I would appreciate any advice regarding nute strength, feeding and watering schedules, ph of water and nute solution as well as soil composition(soil/perlite ratio). Thanks in advance to all who reply.

well, i do know Ph in soil should be around 6.0-6.5, M.G. has slow releasing nutes in the soil, sounds like u got some good nutes, i wish i could tell u more, but i didnt use soil, but i do have a good friend who does, moisture level should be around 1500. (be careful not 2 over water), he uses 2 600 w hps, lights, im not sure on the hid's, fox farm is good stuff, i will find out his mix, and amount 4 ya., i used mad farmer for flowering which worked very well.

what do you mean the mutants, I have never encountered mutants in my grow room.

pH is best 5.8-6.2, although a little more fluctuation could be good too. 6.0 is a good compromise for micro and macro nutrient availability.

he may mean hermies by mutants... he just didn't identify them properly...
I recently had one branch on my plant go completely male, cut it off and searched with a magnifying glass without finding any other signs of hermie or male growth... so I guess that could be a mutant...

If you have ever grown DP Blueberry u know what I mean by mutants. Blueberry is famous for very deformed plants. Crazy leaf structure. If you google DP Blueberry mutants there are a few posts around discussing this and some with pics.

i use ff ocean soil by itself no extra anything works great i also just got the ff nutes seem to be ok only had one dose so far. you should have gotten a feeding schedule with your nutes but if not go to fox farms web page and they have ones you can print out. I dont quite know why everyone wants to add more stuff to the fox farms ocean seems fine by itself, I love it any way

WASSUP!
I use FFOF just plain from seed to flower. Seldomly using nutes in the veg. stage cuz FFOF is so rich. I find that by the time they need nutes (cuz the soil nutes are all used) they also need transplanted,(I start germ. seeds in 4" pots, then to 6" pot) so they get more soil nutes from the new soil. They live in the 6" pot for about 3 weeks (plant is about 8 weeks old at this point or 10-12" tall) then I transplant them into 3 gal. pots for flowering. Again fresh FFOF so I don't even use grow nutes in the veg. stage. W/ exception of Kelp extract and a dose of soil bacteria, I do this the first watering after being placed in the 6" pots. I use 1/2 the rec. dose of Kelp extract. You will want to get a moisture meter w/ an integrated ph meter ( $10) and check soil daliy. The bigger the plant gets the more water it will need of course this is relative to the size of your container. I try not to let the soil dry completely. As far as nutes and how often, rule of thumb is: water, water, nutes,etc... I use Age Old Organics, Soil Secrets, and Budswell in FFOF. Check out Fdd2blk video in the Age old thread, he uses it outside and grows some monsters.

Workinit.... All Blueberry strains are very fert sensitive. If you mean you plan to pot up to a bigger size container and use the FF Ocean Forest Soil, be advised it is nute hot and can burn seedlings and sensitive strains like Blueberry. I'd cut that FF Ocean Forest with 30 percent well aged compost to tone it down, or use 30 percent well rinsed coco fiber. Either will work.
.
Then water only after the transplant for the first 10 days to avoid the burn. After that, start using your bloom nutes at 1/5th the recommended dose. Yes I said 1/5th (aka 20 percent), of the recommended dose. Ph adjust them to 6 and water in.
.
I've grown many blueberry strains over the years, you can really F them up by overfeeding. Start low, then slowly increase your nute mixing strength, in very small increments (10 percent increases). Feed only every 8 to 10 days, water as needed.
.
Blueberry strains are great smoke, just a pain in the ass to grow, because of their eXtra sensitivity to nutes.
.
Hope this helps....
Keep it Real...Organic.....

watch out for the f.f.grow big...it's not organic, and will burn smaller plants....next year, get some black dirt(super expensive), fireplace ash, azomite, bat guano or blood meal, fish bone meal(unless indoors!) or some other high phosphorous fert', oyster shells...the f.f.bloom is o.k. but get some earth juice or similar brand of all organic nitrogen ferts. 20% coco coir wouldn't be bad...if you have the space to do it, get a compost pile going for next year.

sounds like yu know what you are doing if yu got them this far. If yu guys want cheap light warriour try this place. PLANT IT NATURAL. Lol yu can rep me know if yu want. rofl, they ship from SF so good deal and their prices are lower than most by like 10 bucks. Any oen ever shipped fox farms from htg across country! Lol. I also am finding that rite aid soil is nice. Also longs has black gold. These are fast fixes for me as they are right around the corner. I was surprised to see them. Also try some myco fungi. I am reading the soil web and wow they can expand the root mass of a plant by like 1000 times.
