no its not worm castings it look like compost to me, dont use it for seedlings or new clones but its good for transplanting and mixing in to potting soil

I wouldn't think its worm castings otherwise it should say worm castings. What it will do however is help improve water retention and build good soil structure among other things. Though I don't like using anything from Lowes, Walmart, basically any similar chain stores and heres why...Its stored outside, can lead to bug problems. Lower quality than what you can get elsewhere. If theres a hydro shop or similar type gardening store in your area you will be able to find a good soil mix which wont need any amending for a decent price. I'm sure you've read something or another about Fox Farm's line of soils on here, I've done a lot of research on Roots coco based soil, using it for my next grow and from what I've read it seems to be very good and cheaper than some of Fox Farms products. Though Fox Farm or Roots will never be cheaper than just mixing your own. All you really need is some potting soil, mushroom compost, cow manure compost...Those three things will keep you going for a short while, a couple of weeks{from my experience} maybe a little more. Just do some research on mixing your own soil and then aquire the goods to do so...I guess I gave you way more than you were asking for. To answer your question yes you can use it, mix in with other ingredients I wouldn't recommend using it as the only ingredient in your medium.

Vermiculite too, forgot that one...Stupid me...Maybe some perlite. But yeah, I saw that second post too after I posted in this one. No name calling!!!
