This is my first gro and based off of a number of guides I read online, I have been feeding my plants foilarly. I'm using an organic soil with no additives and organic nutes. My ratios are:

Veg - 15-5-5
Flower - 10-30-10

I just wanted to get confirmation that A) foliar feeding is fine and the way to go and B) the ratios look good to more experienced growers out there. I generally spray w/ H20 2-3x a day and spray w/ nutes once every other day. I am just entering flower an I plan to mix some 0-10-0 bat guano with a 5-5-5 basic fert to get my desired ratio.

foliar feeding isnt needed, and i wouldnt do it at all once buds show,, and ur ratio could do with more potassium

so, foliar shold be a supplement to soil, right? somebody should explain this because I read up on it but i still don't quite understand

so I should just do it through the soil? do I just dissolve the nutrients in my water and then water normally? Should I use the nute water every time, or every other time?


yes please. I heard that foliar is more efficient (ie the nutes get to the plant quicker and more effectively) than soil feeding so whats the actual consensus?

basicly if u feed that way during flowering your buds will go mouldy 100%..
your roots do the work in flowering man,,
if youv never fed thruogh the roots then start on the same strength as your foliar mix then creep it up

A nice foliar feed is nice somtimes in veg and maybe early in flower before the formation of any buds. I would then stop.

Foliar feeding is nice for several reasons. It coats the leaves with bacterias and organisms that help the plant and keep her disease free.

Also it feeds the plants in the fastest way. Say you had an N def, if you sprayed the plant with N it would be rapidly absorbed. Now that I veg under a UFO I will foliar feed ocasionaly for general plant health.

Dont foliar feed under HIDS! It will burn your plants in no time. Burn the hell out of. It is like a magnyfying glass. Wait till you have at least a 6 hour dark period.

I'm always interested in foliar feeding stories. I have never foliar fed and always have huge plants and phat buds. I'm thinking i might give it a try on one of my girls.
