So, i was thinking it would be beneficial, nay intriguing to start some post on all the little tips and tricks that people use when growing Mary.

Like, for instance, organic ideas including but not limited to:

Eggshells- heard provide Calcium and Potassium

Coffee Grounds- lain on top of soil and watered through provide... Nitrogen (?)

Milk- something or another that your plants like small amounts of MILK?! mixed through soil (crazy.... right?)

Urine- 1 part per like 10... or 20... or 100 because I don't like pissing on my smoke, it just doesn't seem logical, but i've heard otherwise.

Manure- of course everyone knows about animal droppings... it goes back to when the Indians saved our villager asses back at Plymouth Rock. Nitrogen right?

...which leads to

Fish- or fish meal, which is supposed to contribute phosphorus. Bury it under your "corn", dance around with a tomahawk and feathers in your hair, and pray to the rain god for a good harvest.

Now, I won't dispute it, because i know others will. Organics and "Chemical" or Artificial growing, whichever. Who's to say which is better... I've heard organics is "safer, and your end product is better, and tastes as natural as the method you grew it with."

But then synthetic fertilizers, logically, work better and more efficient then organics... they mass produced and engineered for one purpose.

But i know that I, myself, am an experimental type of person. Sure i could use fert's bought at your local hydro or gardening shop, use those, turn out just fine... wouldn't complain either.

But there's a certain satisfaction to be gained in thinking, "Not only did i just make an omelet with those eggs, drank a class of milk, then made coffee for my trip to work later, I also grew a baddass plant with them."

So I think everyone should share their expertise, their hard learned knowledge of obscure and wild techniques that they've learned from trial and error, or by ear, and used to a positive effect.

Because, in the end, there's only one goal, but so many ways to get there!

I don't necessarily try to go Organic but I try to do everything myself. And I agree with you, it is fun to experiment and make your own ferts and nutes.

From making my own compost, using trout heads that I caught, crushing oyster shells, and even collecting the droppings from my pet goats!

I just think if you spend a considerable ammount of time and work hard to get a good product then you will. I don't really buy anything organic because it's just too expensive and most of it is Shit. I have it easier than some people because I live in a house with about 10 acres of land surrounding it.

I sure as shit would not be trying to make a compost or harbor Goats in an apartment!

There is such a huge amount of info on this site, and once you hang around for a while you will pick up truck loads of tips and trips.
Or you can read all the stickies and FAQ's, but if everyone did that there wouldn't be so many posts asking the same thing would there.
Then there is always the search funtion,

Agreed. it is probably on here already. I just find the search tool hectic, and it's constantly on the fritz. And loads of information scattered everywhere is cumbersome. Having a single thread with all to it i think is just more practical.

I, just being the typical impatient and stubborn american i am, prefer having it right in front of me. 2 clicks, boom and it's off the the races. But i do agree, it's unreal and slightly annoying how many people ask the same questions. I can understand specifics on a strain in a certain situation that requires specialized feed back; but to ask "How do i germinate" is encroaching on just plain uncalled for.

Actually the most annoying question is how much will I yield.
