you could, but it wouldnt do a whole lot for your plants during that stage aside from promoting good bacteria in your soil. during veg growth your plants will need more nitrogen than they will phosphorus or potassium, and potassium is about the only nutrient that molasses has in any signifigant amount. good soil should provide all the potassium you'll need until your plants begin flowering. during veg growth you'll want something with more nitrogen. i dont know what your set up is, but if your using soil you could just mix in some bone or feather meal. coffee grounds are also an exellent souce of nitrogen.

It's true this is why they sometimes use coffee grounds for worm food.. and we all know worms are great for growing

yeah, you can either amend some into your soil or throw some on top of your soil so that when you water it will act as a slow release. thats what i use. that along with free cow manure for fert during veg growth and home made compost makes for a 100% free and organic garden. unless you buy seeds, im just using bag seed for this season

Molasses has been a common product used by organic gardeners to have healthier soils and healthier plants. Its a great source of carbohydrates that stimulates the growth of beneficial microorganisms.

Molasses is great choice to use when doing organic gardening because it contains a good concentration of sulfur, potash, iron, and micro nutrients from the original cane material. So it's not just the sugar content that makes molasses useful, but its trace minerals.

Molasses is also an excellent chelating agent, which means that it can help convert some chemical nutrients into a form that's easily available for plants to use.

Molasses can be used alone, or as a component in both sprays and daily watering.
