Question ? Organic flushing ?
I have been told with organic fertilizers that there is no need too flush.

Is this true?

depends if you mix you soil well enough that all nutrients are depleted so that natural fading can begin. Look at subcool's super soil thread he doesn't have to flush.. Look at my organic thread i will have to flush.. Hope this helps

Get together ppl.. One Love

I use organic and I don't "flush". I simply cut the nutrients in half the last 2-3 feedings. My buds smell and taste as good as they look.

why you want to flush unless you got salt build up?

.
MarijuanMedMan..... Fertilizers wheter, organic or inorganic, are concentrated forms of NPK. These "mineral salts" can and do build up in the growing medium if the plant is even slightly overfed.
.
I always do the water only thing the last two weeks. Yellow fan leaves don't bother me one bit.
.
It confirms, the plants are drawing out all the energy from the parts of the plant it no longer needs. This ensures, any NPK built up in the soil and/or the plant is being used up.
.
That equals a smoother smoking bud. So, stick to plain water the last couple of weeks. Yellow fan leaves - fear not - just let your girls fade.
.
Hope this helps....

why is it a smoother smoke, where is the fert stored and processed?

.
Since it is impossible to give a plant, exactly the precise amounts of NPK it needs. Something is always left over.
.
Osomosis (a law of nature) states matter in a higher concentration will disapate to a level of lower concentration, in any medium, over time.
.
So, when NPK gets applied to your growing medium and does not get completey used up (converted to plant tissue - stems, leaves, buds). It slowly builds to a higher concentration in the root zone.
.
As water / food moves into the plant, from the roots - the left over (slightly concerntrated unused ferts) move into the plant. Taking the path of least resistance (going with the flow).
.
Moving from a higher concentration (the root zone) to a lower concentration (plant tissue). It circulates through all plant tissue and transfers into individual cells all throughout the plant. This exchange occurrs because of different concentrations, chemical bond strengths and electrical charges.
.
The only way to remove most of the stored NPK (in plant tissue) is to provide it with a means of escape.
.
By adding only plain water, you are providing a difference in chemical bond strength / electrical charge. The bound up NPK will move from the higher concentration (the plant tissue) into the plain water being circulated through the plant (the lower concentration). This leaching back into the soil, helps balance the NPK present in the plant & in the soil - so that one does not contain more than the other. The end result - balance....
.
When you acheive this balance, your plant will smoke smoother.
.
Hope this helps....

Why do you keep asking people where there information is from ?

You did that in the other flushing thread too...

Its like your expecting someone to give you a link to a Scientific study right from the government about flushing Cannabis !

People are explaining to you a fundamental of nutrient use and you are questioning it.

Do you ask if water is wet... and ask someone where they got the information that water is wet ?
