Default Strange (But Serious) Question
With respect to the PETA folks out there, has anyone ever tried burying a goldfish or two in the potting soil for fertilizer? Seems like as they "go", they would do a good job of providing time release nutrients for the plant. Might smell a little, but that part could come in handy too. Also since this is my first post on this forum let me say howdy to everyone here. Hopefully I will have something to contribute to the board in a few months, but in the mean time thanks for taking the time to read this post and if you have tried this method before or know someone who has, please share your experience with us. Thank you

It would be a complete waste of an animal. You are much better off buying a proper fertilizer. Buy organic if that is what you are going for.

It takes time for materials to break down before they are useful to a plant. I'm sure you have heard the term "composting"? That is what happens there, bacteria break down the plants and animals into materials your plant can use. You don't have the time or the necessary bacteria present in your soil to properly break down an animal.

If you have a desire to kill things for your garden then look into starting a compost pile to make your own soil.

it works. remember Squanto? Just because it's not pre-packaged doesn't mean it won't work.

ok. Picasso,You have pic or Ricky, u must be a canuk. Squanto saved the dumb-ass pilgrims who couldn't figure out how to survive without pre-pakaged nutes.
