I am planning on doing this. I'll use hydroton rocks with Fox Farms Grow Big Nutes, and 1 tbsp Molasses per gallon. (For a 16 gallon rez that's 16 tbsp = 1 cup)

im currently using molasses in my fox farm tiger bloom.. im 10 days into flowering and its lookin good... according to jorges rx in high times mag: "mollasses is effective bcuz it feeds the little microbes and bacteria in the soil that in turn make the uptake of nutrients more effecient." thus increasing your buds by 20%. it says put 2 tablespoons of molasses per quart of water and water with this once every couple of weeks

Lowkster.... Unsulphured Molasses will add an NPK value of 5-1-3, if mixed one ounce to one gallon of unchlorinated water. So one use, is a cheap all natural fertilizer, full of trace minerals.
.
I say unchlorinated water, because most people (myself included) use this in fertilizer tea mixes to (2nd use) feed the microbeasties (good bacteria & fungi) in our teas. These microbeasties will break down all insoluble NPK in the soil over time, making it very soluble (available) to your plants.
.
Give this a read - it might help:
.
Making Tea - is EZ.... & Cheap !

Hope this helps....

Question Any advantage of Tea?
Hey OHSOGREEN,

So do you think there is any advantage to making your own tea as opposed to just using the pre-made organic Grow It Green and Flower Power in conjunction with the Super Plant Tonic made by Blue Mountain Organics.
(I must add that these are fantastic products available at a can't beat it price!!!, having used them in a veggie and herb garden.)
Also, do you personally still use molasses when using either these products or the tea?

More or less, depending on your type of medium I believe. Soil requires more than hydo.
