I thought about putting this in the plant problem section. But i think because the grow is TOTALLY organic i thought you guys would be better suited to help me.
This grow has been fine so far. The grow room is new, i just moved it. I haven't worked out the kinks yet. My humidity is down around 25%, this is low i know. I have been using a organic soil mix that i made. It has lots of organic material, peat, perlite, coco, and nutes are all organically derived. I have two problems: First: The leaves are droopy. At first i thought i had over watered. So i let them dry out really well. No change. I have since watered with a tea that made over the last two days, hoping that this will also fix my second problem. Second: The bottom leaves are yellowing. Is this a lack of nitrogen? Thanks |

Yes that yellowing looks like low Nitrogen to me.
I think you did the right thing by giving them a tea. Tell us what kinda organic nutes did you mix in the soil ? Any bloodmeal or high nitrogen Guano ? And what kinda tea are you making for a Veg tea ?

The nutes that are in the soil as follows:
Blood meal, bone meal, Rock Phosphate, Greensand, Bat Guano (13%N), worm castings, home made compost. I put all this in my soil months before i plant. It all sits in a large tub where it gets mixed and watered and turned periodically. The tea was house compost out of my www.naturemill.com which is an even mix of browns and greens. On a whim i added more guano and bloodmeal to the tea. What do you think about the droopy leaves? |

What are your temps? And how strong is that HPS and how close to it are they?

SimpleSimon.... The really low humidity is what is doing it. The plants are using water at a much faster rate than fertilizer. You must get the humidity up to at least 50 percent. Until then, the plant will just suck up water like a sponge, lose it to it's leaves and be unable to use the NPK present in the soil.
. Also, what are your temps like with the lights on (after say 2 hours) ? If 85 or above you need to bring them down. More air flow helps if humidity levels are in the correct range. If like in your case, humidity levels are low, the additional air flow can work against you - further dehydrating your plants. . So, to fix up your babies, get the humidity up to at lease 50 percent, keep temps under 85 and make sure air flow is removing the extra heat generated by the light(s). Once you do that, a very mild tea with High Nitrogen Bat Guano would be helpful - like 1 tablespoon to a gallon of water. Give each plant one quart of this tea. Do not feed again for 5 days (min). . Hope this helps.... Keep it Real....Organic.... |

So i have run into another bump. Not a huge one. OH! the humidity WAS the problem they look much better now.
HOWEVER, they are starting to flower. This is kinda shitty because i was going to use them as mothers. I think its becuase i am running an MH and HPS and they are on different cycles and i think that might have stressed them a bit. Either way, what should i do. 1. take cuttings and root to make my mothers. 2. take them from 18 hours of light to 24 hours of light and hope they stop this sexy business 3. Just flower them and start new seeds to get my mother. |

as long as they are in 18 hours of light dude they won't flower trust me lol. they always will show pre flowers. don't worry about getting buds if you're positive they have 18 hours of light. and yes go 24 hours of light stop this sexy business lol.
