Default Pro Mix BX
I'm trying to stay organic with my grow, but the only local organic I've found is MG. Pro Mix BX is available locally, but it's not listed anywhere as being organic. Here's the ingredient list:

Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (75-85%) /vol
Perlite
Vermiculite
Dolomitic & Calcitic limestone
Macronutrients
Micronutrients
Wetting agent

Are the micro/macro nutrients what makes this lose the organic label? If I used all organic nutes would I still need to flush before harvest? Anyone ever try this?

HowardWCampbell.... The Pro Mix BX is an excellent growing medium. It's not listed with OMRI, because it is processed - that does not mean all the ingredients aren't organic - it's the fact it is processed that kept it from being stamped Organic in the past. I hear that restriction may be lifted soon.
.
Buy, use it - it will serve you well.......
.
Hope this helps....

Thanks ohsogreen, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Now I just need to place another order with bmo and I'll be all set.

I love that soil mix. Even with organics you should flush, Even though it is organic, there are still chemicals in there you don't want to smoke. Some flush for only a week with organics, but I still go two.
