only thing Lowe's or HD got is
Promix or something similar
MG
Sta Green.

Idk about the npk #'s but soil with no nutes are better then you can just add perlite, vermiculite and nutes when needed.

Miracle-Gro Moisture Control is fairly kick-ass. I don't know about N-P-K, but it grows my girls like they're in hydro.

Exclamation oops
If you want organic from the hardware store, you should get plain ol' peat. Lowes has a 3.8 cu.ft Premier bale (same people that do Pro-Mix) for like $12. Get you some lime (dolomite if possible) to buffer the pH and you're 100% organic.

The only perlite I ever see around that way is MG with time-released nutes added. Keep an eye out if you're feeling saucy.

If yer into makin' your own, supersoil in the brown bag (can't get it at my home depot any more) is *dirt* cheap (ow, my side) and completely sterile. From there alls you need is a little perlite, some ammendments such as worm castings and kelp and bone meal, and yer pretty well set.

Not a bad way to go from the hardware store.

In agreement, Premier is cheap, 10.99 a bale, and you can get a big ass bag of perlite for 10 bucks, the chuncky stuff costs 34 bucks at worms way.

If you only need a little, lowes carries 11 liter bags of spagnum peat moss and perlite mix, from Ferry Morse. It's 1.99 a bag.

Yeah, you don't really need the worm castings and guano. They are the main ingredients in most organic nutes.

The bone and blood are kind old school in my opinion.

I've used just spagnum peat moss, and perlite and gotten excellent results.

Depends on what you're feedin them, soil amendments require less nute feeding because the soil is rich in fertilizers like the added bone, blood, guano, and worm poop.

Think of plain peat and perlite like expanded clay or rockwool, there's nothing there to feed, you have to add the nutes.
