i have two plants already.. wit regular soil... but i want to know the best soil for organics.. i know the basics... i just want to know the recipe for it... like how much should i put...

2nd... my friend has a cabin in the mountains... and we are gonna plant there.. and i was wondering... wat is the best recipe for outdoor organics... we are barley gonna be up there.. visit like 2 times every other week... im just worried if the plants are getting the right amount of water...

where can i get this foxfarm soil? i heard alot about it... im just wondering... if its okay to leave the plants up there...

check their website, i think they show local suppliers. and outdoor plants will be fine on their own, thats how they evolved, although a little helping hand once in awhile never hurts

what is your regular soil consisting of? i make my own soil using a huge blend of things, always 100% organic.

okay ill do that... true... about the outdoor... just keeping an eye on it is cool.. thanks...

the basics... perlite...premix,worm casting... mostly all local home depot materials... whats your con consist of? im new to this.. so im goin by the book...

pre mix what. there`s more to organic growing then that

Regular soil, like ground soil? If its like mine I’d either transplant into 1gal-5gal depending on the size of the plant just after I turned on the ignition of the truck to go to where they are going or transplant about 2-3 weeks before heading out.
Fox Farms works, just never really had the dough to pluck down for it though.
My Current Mix:
3 qu. ft. Kellog’s garden mix (Composted forest matter, bat guano, earthworm castings, oyster shell lime, no percentages are given on the bag so I’m assuming it’s about 99% composted wood chips, but I’ cynical.)
1 ½-2 qu. ft. Perlite (big green bag, cheap, kind)
3-4 shovel fulls of sand (# 20, not fine)
2 shovel full EWC (regular not scoop)
1 Qut. Whitney Farms organic dry boxed ferts. (5-5-5?)
1 cup each kelp meal, bone meal, dolomite lime
I let it age for 36 hours two weeks whould have been better but this mix isn’t very ‘hot" adding extra of the last two ingredients makes for mas picante soil.
Basics:
3 parts compost , 2 parts perlite, 1 part EWC, 1/4 part sand, Dolomite Lime 1 1/2-2 tablespoons per gal of soil
Or
3 parts good bag soil, 1 part perlite, EWC and dolomite
or
search soil mixes

Buy the cheapest bag’s (as many as you think you might need after reading a couple of books on the matter like Rodale’s Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening) of steer manure (steer’s cheapest where I live) and the biggest cheapest bag of "compost". You won't use them the first time up to the site. Take them up. Open them up. Pour in some of the one bag of mulch into the bags of open steer manure, set the rest of the "bagged mulch" asside. Pour in as much water as you can. Leave for two weeks.
Use mulch in two weeks out of the top of the steer manure bags. Port in more "bagged mulch" and water, leave for two weeks. You get the cycle.
Water as much as you can then come back. If they are dead they didn’t get enough.
Fill the plant holes with water before you plant and they won’t be. boxed organic fretitlizer (Dr. Earth, Whitney Farms, Sweet Earth) can be easy too.
Don't forget dolomite live, like salt on food.

mine usually consists of my compost, which has a whole pile of coffee grounds and eggshells
worm castings
peatmoss
chicken poop
sand
perlite
vermiculite
organic store bought compost mix

then i throw in some extra nutes like kelp meal, bone meal, gypsum, alfalfa meal.

i use alot of stuff because i have alot of stuff, but i'm sure a mix of any of these things should work pretty well

i never measure things which i prolly should, i just eye it out and its never failed me
