Wretched420 ... Your choice to use guano is a good one. The one you are using though, does not have enough K. A simple way to fix that is get some Earth Juice Meta K. A quart bottle will last several grows, so paying $ 14 for it is not bad. I like it, because it's all Organic, very consistant and one bottle lasts a long time. . If you decide to get a bottle, use it regular strength every two weeks, until the last month of flowering. Then cut the doseage to quarter strength and let Mary coast into the finish line. . By using this product, instead of chemicals - you will ensure your micro-beasties in the soil are happy and working overtime to supply Mary with good things from your soil. . Hope this helps.... During the veggie cycle of growing - you can topdress 2 teaspoons of Higher Nitrogen Bat Guano per week - starting once your plant is at least 3 weeks old. You can follow that dose up until it is 10 weeks old. Then discontiue the Higher N Bat Guano & switch to a Higher Phosphorus Bat Guano. Same measurements top dress 2 teaspoons per week. . Or (Optional) mix two Tablespoons of guano (High N for Grow / High P for Bloom) to a gallon of unchlorinated water. Let it sit overnight, shake it up a couple of times, let it sit overnight again - then water it in - one quart per plant - every two weeks. Either divide up the crud at the bottom between four or more plants or throw it in the compost pile. . Either way works - notice the difference in measurements - the smaller topdressed weekly - the larger made into a tea and used every two weeks. Some people like to feed weekly others every two weeks. I water weekly & feed every two weeks - both work - it's just a preference. . With the Meta K - use a regular strenght dose if you feed every two weeks, use a half strenght dose if watering weekly. Back the dose down to a quarter strength dose during flowering. . Stop all fertlizers the last two or three weeks of flowering. At that point, a compost tea, worm castings tea or light molasses tea is good. I just let my plants coast to the finish line - using up all the NPK left in the soil. . Hope this helps.. Wretched420... I have used the fossilized 1-10-1 Seabird Guano in the past, but not the 10-10-1. 10-10-1 is a little too high on the Nitrogen side for flowering. . As far as the quality of guanos goes - Both Bat & Seabird Guanos Rock. The key is just keeping a level head, feeding slow & steady and avoiding the more is better thing. . If your P number is 10 on a guano, that's the soluble (aka-immediately available P) it will always have at least double that number in total P. The other 10 percent (insoluble) and will break down over the course of a few months. . So, if you are topdressing or taking the crud from your tea and putting it on the soil - more P is a coming. By going low, slow & steady - you will prevent pH shifts, which can occur if you over do it. Those shifts can cause nute lockout problems - which will do all kinds of weird things. . I'd look to get some 0-4-0 to 1-10-1 Guano for the flowering stage. Most good garden centers have it, hydros stores have it and you can find it on Ebay pretty reasonable. I usually use the 0-7-0, it works for me. . Prices vary by weight & brand, a pound will set you back between 3 & 6 bucks. The price drops when you buy big ass bags, but I advise against that. No one pays any attention to small purchases, but walking out with a 50 pound sack - can draw unwanted attention. . Hope this helps... Keep it Real...Organic... .
