Talking Super Plant Tonic...what it is and what it is not...

Hello again everyone..... I just thought I should start a new thread to discuss what Super Plant Tonic is and what it is not.
    .
First of all - it's a root inoculant, meant to deliver mycorrizhal fungi and other benefical bacteria to your root zone.
    .
Second, it is a Tonic with loads of macro & micro nutes - often missing from most fertilizers. So, that's good - lots of good stuff in one bottle.
    .
Third, it delivers these things in a highly soluble form, so results are quick. It works within days.
    .
Those are all a plus in my book. I've been using the stuff now for several grows & I love it. I love that fact, it's made by a small company in small batches and most importantly - It's ALL ORGANIC....
    .
Now - what SPT is not. It's not a fertilizer. The NPK in it is just there to feed the micro-beaties (aka-the good fungi & bacteria). The NPK numbers are too low to carry Mary in any part of the grow.
    .
It's not a cure all for common mistakes - Overwatering & Overfertilizing. If you're doing those - nothing will help you. Mary's going to suffer.
    .
It does not right all wrongs. Example: If your leaves are already showing Mg deficency. It will stop it, but not reverse the damage to your leaves that is already done. Nothing can do that, shy of the man upstairs.
    .
Here is a list of it's ingredients - I just copied & pasted them:

Now, most people "do not want to tell", you their ingredients. Blue Mountain Organics wants you to know them and why they are used :

The Artesian Spring Water (provides an all natural, chlorine free base), Worm Castings (add soluable nitrogen & trace minerals), Mycorrhizal Fungi make the mix soluble & inoculate your plants roots, Unsulphured Molasses (feeds - these beneficial microorganisms, provides trace minerals, plus soluble nitrogen, phosphorus & potassium), Coral Calcium (adds 72 trace minerals - that's all of them), Humic Acid derived from (Hot Composted) Oak Leaves & Peat - adds natural chelates (ensuring smooth delivery of the trace minerals). All these good things are mixed, then oxygenated for (3) days under optimal conditions; in a special organic tea brewer. Which increases the feeding action of the beneficial microorganisms - which break down all these good things, into a highly soluble liquid. Easily absorbed by plants. Note: Mycorrhizal Fungi enhance your plants ability to absorb more nutrients, minerals & water - resulting in better vigor, growth & draught resistance. Just Google or Yahoo Search Mycorrhizal Fungi - You'll find page after page of information praising them.

So, there you have it. A company honest enough to tell you what's in it. A well thought out list of goodies. Mixed in proper ratios to balance out most problems. It is a good addition to any grow - It's not a Miracle in a Bottle.
    .
If you have used it, chime in. Tell others if you like it, how you used it ...etc.. or if it's not your cup of tea...share also... Open discussion, makes for better threads.....
    .
    Keep it Real.... Organic....

P.S. - Before anyone asks - BMO sells it on Ebay.... Just put Super Plant Tonic in the Search Box & Hit Enter..... I found out about it from a friend, now you have too.... Peace & Love & Fat Buddage.....

I was thinking about cloning one of my plants, using a rooting hormone mix I got a walmart. Its a dry mix, you dip the cutting into. After the roots start to show, would this plant tonic help them grow any faster or bigger ? I thought fungus was bad in your root zone ? Any info will be appreciated

OIsmoked12 .... The SPT will help your clones take off. The myco fungi in it, threads into the roots of your clone (or plant) and feeds it from the medium you are using. It works in soil or hydro. It makes for huge, healthy rootballs, which in the end, equal plants that reach maximum potential - aka - Fat, Frosty Buds.

Read this link about the fungi and you'll see not all fungi are bad...

wonder how the mycorrhizal fungi stay alive in a hydro res...or maybe they just colonize the medium...dunno.
Everything I say in these forums is pure fiction, I am a chronic liar and dilusional. How did I even end up here in the first place...where is my medication?

Ev3fr3sh ... The myco fungi just free float in the hydro reservior, feeding off the food source (the molassess) until they come in contact with a root. Then they attached themselves to it, dig in and start feeding Mary directly.
    .
Even while free floating they are bioconverting (eating & pooping it out) any food source (fertilizer or amendment) they come in contact with - making them more soluble for the roots to absorb. So, the myco fungi are always on the job 24/7.
    .
    Amazing little micro-beaties....

Cheshireplant.... I am currently starting a new grow. I will be using the new BMO Grow, Foliar and Bloom ferts only on half the plants. Plus SPT on both sets.
    .
I will update as time goes by. I will take pics for comparision, so we can see if their new stuff is as good as the SPT is. Time will tell.

Got my spt today. The UPS driver and I both dodged a bullet, in that when I opened the package it contained a plastic bag full of tonic and two empty bottles. Musta got hot. That shit STINKS (so good)!

FP and FH on their way, wanted to try out the FH and since they combine shipping I picked up a few bottles of FP for like two bucks a piece.

Gonna try it out a little later on, too hot now
