what does CO2 do for pot plants
Plants "breathe" CO2. So giving them extra makes them respirate more and take in more nutrients, causing faster growth!
It's quite literally "nos" for plants.
humans breath oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide
plants breath carbon dioxide and "exhale or transpire" oxygen.

The molecules in CO2 are converted into glucose (C6H12O6). Here is the chemical formula:
6CO2 + 6H2O -> C6H12O6 + 6O2
So CO2 helps your plants create energy to grow in the form of glucose.
