Is my soil good?

dont use anything miracle grow. and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. yes it COULD work but its not optimal by any means and will MOST LIKELY burn your plants to death with all the chemicals in it. outbeforethefewmiraclegrowdiehardsshowup

Dont use MG. I am using Kellogg potting soil and it is $5 for a large bag and is working great so far. Keep in ming that no matter what soil you use you will need to feed the plants nutes. Fox Farm soils are great but over $15 for a bag.

If you are new to growing, I would not advise any packaged soil that states it will feed a plant for XX months. This means it is full of chemical time release nutes, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but also means you must be very careful with watering. The more you water, the more you release nutes, and this is typically how plants get nute burn.

OMG M.G. will work just fine!!! even with the time released nutes, just feed it water and maybe a carbo product like sugar daddy, sweet raw, or just molasses for like the first month or so!!!

You will gain 100x more experience just growing even if its with Miracle Grow or in M.G. soil then you will just reading some board online which is full or half truths and comflicting information!!!!

if you want to give good advice to help someone grow some MJ stop suggesting MG products. yes it CAN grow a plant but grow a plant better than pretty much everything else? doubt it. if nothing else taste will be affected as a negative. MG bud taste like ass IMO

Recommending M.G. is not crappy advice, it was advice, the time released granulates in the soil are little to nothing at best, and also for people without a hydro store, M.G. soil runs like 1/2 the price and comes in a 2 cu ft. bag from walmart. If the nutes are that big an issue, then just run or wash the soil out really good before using it!!!! Also M.G. makes a organic potting that is actually comparable to F.F.O.F. I.M.H.O.

I would never recommend to anyone a grow tek I have not personally ran and have experience with.

Now M.G. isn't best, that is true, but there are plenty of people from small growers to bigger cash croppers whom have used it and used it for plenty of time with good to excellent results.

In regards to M.G. making ur plants taste like crap; while any synth salt based nute if not flushed at the end of cycle will affect the burn, and taste of ur crop. SO keep that in mind and take what people say with a grain of salt.

I stand by my most important remark, growing period will teach you and help you understand alot more then not growing regardless of what soil / nutes you use.
