Can you change from Hesi to Advanced Nutrients Overdrive half way through flowering?

Hi All,

I'm currently using Hesi Bloom Complex (3+2+3) & Hesi Phos Plus (PK 8+4) on my babies & am in week 5 of flowering in soil, I tend to leave until 9 weeks before I chop so I have 3 weeks left of feeding, then 1 week for flushing.

With the above mentioned solutions, the recommended dose is 50ml of Bloom & 25ml of Phos Plus per 10 ltrs of water... The Bloom Complex is used from the start of the flowering stage & the Phos Plus is combined with it from week 4 in the flowering stage so I have been using for just over a week..

I'm almost out of both of the above and wanted to try something different to give that final boost and was wondering can you change solutions mid flower?

I had Advance Nutrients Overdrive in mind which is recommended for the last 2-3 weeks of flowering.

My initial thoughts are no as it may cause an overload and an imbalance of certain values but wanted some advice all the same?

I am planning to change from Hesi on my next grow but for the sake of buying more Bloom & Phos Plus which will cost me £25 or $38, is it worth the risk?

Thank you :)

Yes an no. Yes you can change your nutes mid stream as long as you use some care. Don't stack both feed schedules, stop one before starting another. Try and use a small step down on the old nutes and a small step up on the new nutes to allow your plants to adjust to any spikes in any one particular ingredient. Also Overdrive is a finishing supplement and not a main nute or heavy P/K booster, so it should not cause any shock, esp. if you are using HESI SuperVIT.
But, No because you are IMHO using a much better (and probably cheaper) feeding schedule right now, not to mention it wont get mysteriously changed on you like with AN. IMHO again if you really want to change, stay away from AN.

sure you can, they are your plants, and a plant will only use whatever nutrients it can , nutes are nutes(some are better than others). Switch whenever you like.
