Indoor Soil Grow: BlackJack in FoxFarms

Greetings. Novice doing first medicinal blackjack grow indoors with FoxFarm Ocean Forest & Perlite around 2:1.

Need to control aroma (and complexity) a bit so no fish bone meal, et cetera. Suggestion please on reliable brand(s); non-organic is OK:

1) vegetative
2) flowering

Allow me to throw two ideas out there.

1) Jack's Classic Dynamic Duo is attractive for two reasons: a. its simplicity, and b. its NPK ratios.
2) One would assume FoxFarm's formulations to be balanced with their Ocean Forest soil (which I've chosen).

Thoughts?

jacks classic is great, if you havent decide yet you might want to look into floranova veg and bloom only 2 bottles for the entire plant life and the stuff works great

Is one green, the other bottle fuchsia? If I found it (over at General Hydroponics), they changed the name to FloraNova Grow. Man, I love simplicity.

I'm guessin' that you wouldn't be mentioning it if it wasn't a top product. Any downside? Anything missing?

Make sure I got the name right as there are a couple with very similar monikers.

yes that is it here is a pic to be sure. its all you need for the whole plants life, ive only used them one time but they worked great,it last a long time to because it is highly concentrated. and yes very simple. and no down side and it seems it has every thing in it to sustain very healthy plants. and i have never heard any thing bad about it either.

mcpurple, thanks for the tip. For the sake of avoiding trauma to the plant, once I start with a given (good) nutrient system, I don't intend to change. Let me ask the community. Between:

1. Jack's Classic Dynamic Duo and
2. FloraNova Grow & Bloom,

do people have a clear preference?

i think soemwill have a good opinion on them but some poeple havent used both like me i have only used the flora nova and liked it alot, but i want to try jacks because i hear al this great shit about it for a low price. but since this is your first time i would still say the jacks classic for the first grow or 2 and if you like them thenjust stay with it, or u can always switch

I would use general hydroponics flora nova series just 2 parts grow and bloom works great in soil

I keep a personal journal with a flow chart connecting up the answers to each and every question that I ask. Just want you to know that I'm using and synthesizing and incorporating everyone's info into my particular situation. It has been enormously helpful and I have been a member for just a couple of weeks.
