This is what I've been using for the veg, but will this work as well for the bloom, or should I get something else? Thanks in advance.

totally, miracle gro sucks.

You really should be using nutrients that are made for MMJ, not for anything else. Miracle gro is filled with a bunch of crap, stuff that makes the smoke just disgusting, well, to me anyway.

I'm a fan of Advanced Nutrients and their Grow-Micro-Bloom nutes. But there are a lot of other companies with great nutes too.

And thanks for sharing that video - totally interesting to watch.

Cool discussion here folks - get Miracle Gro out of grow rooms!! LOL

subcool talks about one of his frends getting lazy I think. Instead of using the supersoil / water only combo he is just using mircacle grow. I dont remember for sure but when I was i soil I was all organic and things were awesome but sometimes I wonder what a plant would do with miracle grow potting soil for veg then a tomatoe spike for flower. Lol, some people here do that kinda thing. No way to flush i guess all that chemical, unless you used florekleen or something that stops the uptake of nutes and forces the plant to use what is in its leaves.

There is a cheeper soil at lowes called "patio plus" that has everything organic and powerful, like castings and manures that is amazing. Especily for the price. If you are buying mircacle grow for the price and convenience then I suggest trying that and using a mixture of alaska fish priducts for flower.

I do mineral hydro now tho, gh three part. Flush for a week or two with plain water.

"Stern's" Miracle Grow is a 30-10-10 fertilizer. It is meant as a fertilizer for soil grows as its nitrogen source is chiefly Urea. What is not Urea is ammonical nitrogen. Hydroponic nutrients should use nitrate for its nitrogen. An ideal MJ fertilizer is around 30-10-20. Potash is very easy to add. pH up is almost entirely potassium hydroxide and would be needed anyway in a hydroponic grow as the level of ammonical ammonia would constantly be causing a daily lowering of the pH. With a soil grow this would simply be handled by add some dolomitic lime to the soil. As a hydroponic nutrient Miracle grow is lacking (entirely devoid) of calcium, magnesium and sulfur. This can be remedied with a small amount of magnesium sulfate and some calcium hydroxide.

If I were you I would simply ignore the AN children. They would likely buy baby colostrum turd fertilizers if sold by AN as a MJ super fertilizer. Darn, I likely just gave them another idea for another AN specialty fertilizer.

I (as does Uncle Ben in https://www.rollitup.org/nutrients/295437-methodical-scientific-approach-nutrients-nutrient.html), simply suggest something near a 3:1:2 ratio fertilizer such as Dyna-Gro Foliage-Pro. I mix my own which almost runs circles around any of the AN or GH formulations and at a cost of less than $7 per gallon for a 100X concentrate. And that is for a mix at a 2.7 EC with a TDS at over 1900 ppm. I only use it at an average 650 ppm. Mine has a slighting higher ration of calcium and magnesium than the Dyna-Grow.

Is AN the best? NO!
Is AN better than most? NO!
Is AN about average? AT BEST!
Is AN over blown by Fat Mikie? YES!
Is AN grossly over priced? VERY MUCH SO!!!!!!!!

Just look around this site. You will find a huge number of fertilizer formulations as good or better than AN products.

what up with ur albums y dont u take some pics and make a album and show off those dyna gro grows or foliage pro grows u talk about?? and take a pic of the finished product cuz thats what its all about.. when i switched to AN i noticed bigger bud, more resin, filled out better (no pop corn nugs), it grew faster, and the bud just looked better period..i barely just started using it a few grows ago and i like it but it is way to pricey so i dont know if ima use it much after its gone..but i got a shit load of it so im good for like 20 more plants worth of AN..i like trying new things so ima try that dyna grow and shit u and ub talk about..if its bs ima call u on it

:weed::weed::weed::weed:use it occasionaly every 3-4 waterings not too consitrated though...coffee grounds are cheap nutes mix a cup in your soil for every 1-2 gallons of soil it slowly releases nitrogen posporus and other nutrients..

Good post, sound advice.
MG will work fine, just remember that less is more.

MJ specific fertilizer marketing departments prey upon the gullible and inexperienced gardeners...beware!

dont use miracle grow i made the mistake of using it several times with varies results... try some bat guano for truely amazing results... but if you want chemical ferts than you should ask someone else... i hear flora nova 2 part works. Keep it organic and you will see and taste the difference. Maybe not the biggest yields but world class smoke if you got good strains to work with.

If you guys want to talk soil medias (waste water compost), bat shit, chickens shit and their seepage extracts please take it to the organic forum. This is a nutrient forums not a organic soil media forum. In other words go talk your shit elsewhere. Organic medias and seepage extracts that some call nutrients are more appropriately discussed in the organic section. Addressing them here is outside the scope of this thread. It is called scope creep, or in child terms thread hi-jacking.

and ur the one who came on this thread talking the bullshit.. ya loser..get a life and stop hatting on AN u damn "thread high jacking scope creep"
:wall:Like I said this thread is about a chemical nutrient, not your organic and soil medium side tracks to cover for the fact that no one seems to care what you thinks but merely sees you for being a childish buffoon. :spew:Your pre-school like tantrums are just too much to tolerate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-C6sb_W4lE

So please either make a viable contribution or go away and clean up your room before your mommy finds you on an age restricted forum again. "Hatting on AN", wow that's real cute. Finish high school, get a job, maybe you will learn something and possibly one day contribute something worth reading. Mean while heres to "hatting" you and AN. Or should I say dunce capping instead of hatting. :dunce: You do not even know what scope creep means. That's grand.
