Question Carbon scrubber or other odor cleanser.
Ive been looking at options for odor control and I like the carbon filters, but all of them seem to be the type thats attached to a grow box. I was wondering if a carbon filter with an attached fan pulling air into the filter just sitting in a room would be an effective way to clean the odor.

Sveet. How effective is a carbon filter? Will a high powered fan completely eliminate the smell.

Lets say I have a 10x10 room with a regular closet with 6 bitches and a 200cfm carbon filter in the room, with the closet door and the room door open to a condo. Right now I just leave the door open cause it doesnt stink and I dont want heat pouring out the single window, so I let my air conditioning mix with the heat coming out of the room. My ideal situation, is that I can leave this door open, even when the stank comes (x6) with carbon filters and effectively completely elimintate the odor. Im a noob, is this possible? Im even down to use like 2 carbon filters + ionic breeze (to generate some ozone as well)

WOW MAN YOU HAVE SOME ISSUES WITH IT GETTING STINKY, WELL FOR ONE KNOW MATTER WHAT YOU DO, IT WILL STINK, A CARBON SCRUBBER WORKS GREAT BUT WATCH THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY, CASUE THEN THEY DON'T WORK SO GREAT
TRY AN. OZONE JR. MADE BY C.A.P., WORKS AWSOME AND GET A SCRUBBER WITH A GOOD BLOWER, OH AND SOME DUCTING..
NOW STEP ONE, STICK THE OZONE.JR IN THE DUCT JUST AT THE BLOWER EXIT POINT, IN OTHER WORDS WHERE THE AIR BLOWS OUT AFTER IT HAS BEEN PASSED THRU THE FILTER.
STEP TWO, RUN THE DUCT TO A WINDOW OR WHAT NOT AND VENT, NOW THE JR. PUTS OUT IT'S FAIR SHARE OF o3 BUT NOT LIKE IT'S BIG BROTHER SO YOUR GOOD ON THE HARMFUL SETBACK, O.K. SO THE LOGIC IN THIS IS SIMPLE, THE STINKY AIR GETS SUCKED INTO THE FILTER AND PASSES THRU THE OZONE, THRU THE DUCT AND BY THE TIME IT GETS BLOWN OUT THE WINDOW OR WHAT EVER YOU WONT SMELL SHIT.
HOPE THIS HELPS HAPPY GROWING AND POST SOME PIC'S.

you say your room is 10 x 10 what is the hight 8? need to know your cubic feet to see if your fan is enough to create the proper negative pressure to pull smells out before bying all the extras.

Yeah Id recommend you set somethin up so you can be sure everything exiting the room doesnt smell. From there, yeah you could play around with an independent fan circulating air but it wont be nearly as helpful

10 x 10 x 8 = 800 cubic feet. you need minimum a 800 cfm fan. or divide your room in 2 and use 2 fans is what i would do. i have a 450 cfm fan that i paid 80 bucks for used and it works awesome. i also have a speed control on it. dont forget you will need some extra cfm on the fan size to allow for back pressure from filter
