Thats the old overgrow growfaq, I believe. Either way, it's a great place to start that'll outline the different methods you could use. It's really not as hard as it may seem but like anything else you get out of it what you put in. I'm on my frist grow now (check the sig) and learned ALOT in the last couple monthes. You could germinate them in a wet paper towel, or a shotglass full of water placed in a warm darkish place. You can do soil or hydro, though I suggest doing soil first because I think its a little more forgiving to use newbs. Put some soil in an opaque cup (or bigger container like 2-3 gallons if you don't want to transplant later) (and try not to use miraclegro, I did and it was a little strong for a few of my seeds to start in, a few didn't make it through. just use neutral soil and add nutes later), make sure its damp and when the seed starts to shoot out a white tail place the seed in the hole root-down. Just like the beastie boys song. Cover it up, sprinkle a few drops of water on it and set it in some indirect light or under some CFls for a bit on 24/7 light. I wouldn't do all this until you know what you're doing for lights though. CFLs are inexpensive and good for veg, useable for flowering (doing it now until new bulbs come in) and don't run too hot so they're forgiving for people learning how close to put a light and people needing to keep it stealthy in a box. HPS is great for flowering but not as cheap as CFLs and run a bit hotter. I think these are the standard for growers. I see more people with HPS in their logs than anything else though alot of folks around here can work fuckin wonders with CFLs. Compact Fluorescents, I forgot to unabbreviate it for you. HPS is High Pressure Sodium. Theres MH and probably something else or two I know nothing about that should get you atleast somewhat started. If you get a good female from those AK seeds you should keep her alive in veg and look into cloning. You take a cutting, let it veg and then it becomes its own plant so you dont have to buy seeds or deal with the issue of males again. Thats about all I can offer until you get going and then I can check in and help with what I can. Learn by doing, and almost as important, learn by reading. Just pour as much time as you can into forums like this and icmag.com read anything you can and then read it again. Learn to use google like a fine tuned microscope for finding what you need across all the boards. And most importantly, stay high, man. Peace!
