Cloning after 8 weeks of flowering? Skip mother plants??

I've got one 1 month old AK 48 and it should be ready to clone in a week or two. I wanted to clone and check to see if it is a male or female and after a little research I found this video. I think this is pretty amazing if true-- any experiences?

If this does seem doable I might just flower my plant soon and if it is female wait until before harvesting to clone-- that way I don't have to mutilate my plant and save space/lights.

it works, but they take longer to revert to veg by far than those taken in veg.

if you have one room, take two small clones and sex them elsewhere.

if you have two rooms, flower the mom/dad, taking clones after she shows sex so you don't waste time cloning a dude.

and grow more than one plant if you are growign from seed.

yeah, i got 10 dutch seeds and then the night whose name shall not be spoken happened. i have one plant right now. i have a pretty sad bag seed sprout, which is about a week younger than my AK 48 and it has around 4 -6 leaves on it :/ Time to buy good genes!


also, would this work on auto flowering plants too then? that would kick ass.
