time to switch to 12-12?

this is my first time and i cant figure out when to switch to 12-12... They have been in the soul 13 days. I am growing under a 1000w HPS light, on an 18-6 right now. please let me know if i can switch.

To be honest it just depends on personal preference. If you have the room to keep growing, keep growing. They say that a plant doubles in size during flower. So if you want your final product to be double that, make the switch.

how do the 5 gal buckets work out for you? i plan on using the same thing since im poor and dont wanna pay for 3 gal pots.

Wait until you see preflowers.....usually around the 4th node.
