No, fold the leaves out of the way. The fan leaves are your main sugar factories and by cutting off the fan leaves you would be cutting off a source of carbohydrates to your buds. If you have to, tie up the buds in a way so they get more light. In the future you can use a technique called LST (Low stress Training...google it).
This question comes up quite often, you'll probably see some responses where a few people will swear by cutting off the fan leaves but what these people won't do is provide a credible source to back up their claims of the benefits of cutting off fan leaves beyond a few dope head anecdotes ("dude, I cut the fan leaves and I got these bitchin' buds! Dude!"). No where in botany will you find a peer reviewed white paper supporting cutting off the healthy fan leaves of any type of plant. Remember this when people recommend that you cut off fan leaves.
