is there an inexpensive way of adding nutes to my plants? can i just get them form a gardening shop as long as the npk ratios are correct or is it worth spending all that cash on expensive nutes ?

honestly i just picked up some cheap ass veg nutes from walmart. they were like 2 bucks, and there were 50 13-4-5 plant food spikes in the package. i also saw blood meal there for like five bucks, it came in a box. it was something like 20-10-10 or something i'm not sure. but those are cheap and really effective. i saw a huge spurt of growth the night after i put the spikes in my plants.

It is a matter of opinion. If you want to experiment then go to walmart and try the low cost stuff. When you find something that works please let us know. I am a chicken. I use what I know works.

Spikes are a very very bad idea for cannabis plants!

IMO, the "best" cheap readily available fertilizer for veg growth is Miracle Gro for tomatoes....Wal Mart should have this...use much smaller amounts mixed with water than label says....remember that less is more!
Peters and MG both make a good Blossom booster which works well!
Make sure you put adequate amount of dolomite lime in your soil mix, and you should be fine.

spikes post the problem that they released the nutes over time but uncontrolled, so no-one ever knows what is going on and you can't really figure out if something is wrong what it is. so basically the are like a dump into your own undies, damn yucky pail of shit

so much to time released fertilizers
