| | Really that big of a differnce between nutes? | | Im just curious if there is really such a big difference between nutes like foxfarms, and other "mass produced" nutes. I have MG Plant food thats 12-4-8, and some expert gardeners big bloom thats 10-52-10(All from walmart). Is it worth the extra for foxfarm? |

| | Yeah, there's a HUGE difference . . . in price! I really don't know the "official" answer but have used Mg/Shultz for 3+ decades without issues. I think the "better" ones use more agreeable/less harsh resources as their ingredients? I've always added Epsom Salts @ 1/4 tsp per gallon to most waterings.
A more scientific grower will likely come along soon and detail this for ya.

As long as you buy a line of nutes made for marijuana you really can't go wrong. Alot of overpriced crap out there. |

| | A lot of nutes are short on Mg. Shultz for example, thus MrFishy supplements with Mg. There are other micros that marijuana needs that will not necessarily come in the right ratios (or at all) in general purpose fertilizers.
The nutes you listed are not organic, and there is not enough potassium in the bloom fert.
It is not very expensive to buy quarts of good grow and bloom ferts, something like $15 or so. Considering what you get for that in terms of growth and nutrition, it is easily worth it IMO.
Where things get really expensive is when you start buying all the goddamned supplements. For example, while I use grow and bloom, you can get cal/mg +, sweet, liquid karma, clearex, etc ... that will easily triple your nutrient costs per cycle. Let others tell you whether or not those are worth it, but that's where the $$$ come in... I've done fine without those. |

| | stick with the Miracle Grow and Expert Bloom for the price. Both of them are short on magnesium and your plants will not need much. I have two seperate 2gallon spray containters- one that is pure reverse osmosis water and one container that has the nutes. If you put in A PINCH of epsom salt per 2 gallons that will prove to be enough.... and still cost you less money.

Very affordable as well. MG/Shultz lacks in many areas... |
