im using a closet grow, i have an intake and an exhaust fan, they are a bit noisy not too bad but u can hear them outside the room. can i set them on a timer to come every 30 min or every hr.????????? i cud leave the oscilating fan run 24/7!

Sure why not?

With the right timer, you could turn in on for a minute, off for minute, then back on, etc. $20 or less.

And for WAY too much money you can get down to .01 second resolution (but the spool up time would screw with that tight resolution)

ya you kind find simple timers at your local walmart, i got mine and its "brinks medical timer" for 9 bucks i think? works great

timer should be fine. just make sure they're set on a schedule which causes your garden temps to stay in the normal range. better for them to come on more often than not.

yeah and id put them on more during the hottest part of your day cos obvioulsy the room will probably be raised a few degrees in temp
