Yea all i had to "verify" my card was to give them my address and full name.
give the seedbank the same name and address you used to verify the card.

I need to find a safe addy to ship to. I dont have any "friends" willing to let me send contraband to their house. THe po box wants tmi. Need to send the seeds somewhere that is not my grow house but where?

i think your best bet is to go with the PO box..thats what i did..yeah they do need 2 froms of ID but i orderd seeds to it and they came and ive had to trouble

if you give your name and addy to the prepaid cc, then to the seed bank, and then again for th PO, how is this anonymous?

as far as the walmart prepaid card, i believe it asks for your social because walmart does payroll check cashing and everytime i get my check cashed they ask if i want it on a walmart prepaid card... maybe they just use your ssn to load the card, since walmart already requires you key in your ssn before they will cash your check... more than likely its walmarts idea of customer service?

im with big bud. there's no point to that at all. especially if you have it sent to your address. if you live in the states u could have it sent to an empty house. there's a bunch of those 'round here lately...

I use the All-access visa gift card (100$) but it cost 105$(bought at a Pick N' Save). I didn't have to register it at all just have it activated by the cashier. Make sure you get one that isn't reloadable. All the reloadable ones I found you had to register online and you don't want to do that for the obvious reasons mentioned before.

I bought a Walmart Prepaid Visa debit card, and I tried to activate it with a made up name and an address someone is letting me use. It wanted all sorts of bullshit info - social security number, date of birth, phone number. There was a notice on there saying that they needed the info so the government can combat terrorism and money laundering.

I kept having trouble saying the information couldn't be verified. I tried again and eventually it said the temporary card was activated but it wouldn't send the official one until I fax them. I got this notice:


Since we are not able to verify your personal information, we are only able to activate your Temporary Card at this time.
In order to receive your personalized/reloadable card, you will need to fax us the following documents:

Utility Bill where the last name and the address on the Utility Bill match what you justgave us and SSN or Drivers License
where the full name on the card match what you just gave. We accept residential phone, water, gas, power/electric or cable bills.

Please fax the requested documentation to 1-866-619-0941. Once received, the review of the documents will take 2 business days.
When the requested documentation is received and approved, Green Dot will credit $5 to your account for the inconvenience.

They seemed to be checking this info against some database when I entered it. Is there another way of loading these things? Is there a better store to purchase them? I thought the point of them is that they can be used by people who can't get a regular debit card / credit card. Seeing that message posted above along with the notice that the info is needed for the "government" makes me even more paranoid about giving them any real info.

I tried using the temp card to purchase online, and it wouldn't work.

I thought about faxing them a phony drivers license and bill, but I wonder if they will check these.
