I have been reading up on growing on and off for a few months now, and I think I am ready for the plunge.

I am going to do a small, basic growing setup, with CFL lights, since its my first grow.

Also, I really dislike smoking pot that makes me retarded, slow, and tired, which is why I want to grow a mostly sativa strain of weed...

So does anyone have recommendation of a strain to buy that is more suiteable for first time, small setup growers? Ideally, I'd like to harvest the plant when it reaches about 3 feet in height, if that causes any implications in the seed selection. Also, what site did you order from? I live in the US, as well, in case that creates some difficulty in ordering.

On another site, I read good things about (pure) purple power. Any experience with this?

Im not pro nt by a long shot but ur hgh limitations will be a very important decidin factor on your seeds. Sativa grow tall and stretchy while indica are short and busy.i grew lowryder 2 for my very first plant. could have took alot better care of it but in the end only harvested about 10g dry. A good autoflowering strain will yield maybe a half ounce to a ounce if your doing very well. Not really worth it.

Ideally you need a seed which is a sativa indica mix or mstly indica to contain size. Plus you will have to flower them very early as they can double in size when they get to flower. Just my two cents on it but dont take it as gospel

yeah i remember reading how sativa can grow 5+ feet if you let them. Basically, i just want something that wont slow me down for days on end. I dislike it when I smoke and friends come over and i dont feel like doing anything but sitting.

so is there any hybrids out there that wont slow me down physically/mentally but have the similar ease of growing a pure indica i.e. easier to grow and also being able to harvest it when its under 4 feet?

right well i had a look around on a few seed sites. Literally its all about doing research. This is a page of 50/50 sativa indica hybreds and they give a range of heights for them.

For more advanced growers id say look at doing some form of LST to reduce height. The chances of getting a full sativa in your height restrictions will be tough so hybred is your best bet. Im growing white widow now and flowered them when they were a bit over 12 inches. The are now over 3 ft and growing.

Do have a look around and see which strain you fancy. then i would look at the different seed banks versions and also for price. In my limited experience Dutch Passion is a good seed bank. Ive had 11 seeds germ and sprout all dutch passion
