i dunno 5 - 10 plants.... what would be best. better yet... what would you do?

With 5x5x8 here would be my plan of action for that room assuming all I have is a 400 watt HPS. (i guessing you already have it, otherwise I would get a digital 600 With cooltube for $200 from HTGsupply.com)

Divide it vertically leaving me with one flowering chamber with dimensions 5x3 and 5x2 for 18/6 hour side, SEAL lightproof the hell out of it.

The veg side would be divided horozontally into a 2x5x4 tall Area to keep my moms lit by using T8 flouros with as many of them as I can fit (cost 8.32 at home depot called shoplights hold two bulbs each, bulbs are 6500k and are 7.32 for two of them)

Then above that I would have a 2.5' tall area for veggin also lit by t8 flouros, and fianlly a 1.5' tall area above that for Clones lit by 42 watt CFL's

I would perpetual this area. Start some seeds in the mother system, probally in my choice COCO coir or DWC, once the get old enough take clones and place em in to the clone area, once rooted they would veg for 1.5 weeks, then go into the flowering area lit by a 600 watt digi.

I would reccomend fitting in 15 plants into the flowering area.

You could also go perpetual with it. where you would move 4 plants at a time from clones through each stage every two weeks.

Then eventually you would harvest 4 plants every two weeks, and yeild most likely around 2-4 ounces every two weeks!

i have a 400watt.... and a fixture with 8x 25watt daylight CFLs 6500k... is that almost as good as what you stated?

For the mother chamber alone yeah it would work.

But your gonna need to get lights for your veg area, and a few more flouro or CFL's for the clones.

This is if you want to go all out with the closet in design.

ganjagoddes thanks for all your feedback... but i just finally actually measured my grow space and it is 3.5' x 3.5' x 8' ...... could i do the same thing just less plants? and what do you mean i need more lights for my veg area as in more CFLS?
