I have my plants on a piece of polystyrene for light reflection. But It just wondered, do the leaves absorb any light from their underside?????
If not then the polystyrene is probably quite useless, especially since it blinds the fuck out of me to look anywhere near it!!!!

well lets just say they dont. ( i dont know ) the poly still reflects the light back up towards more poly on the walls which would then reflect back onto the plants so i would still think it is useful. just my opinion. anything to make your lights more efficient

well the highest concentrations of Chlorophyll are at the top of the leaf and at the bottom has its own purpose too. THe bottom lets out water vapor. Google leave diagram it might help
