Default sitting in rockwool
ok my cuttings are in rockwool and have been alive for 2 weeks. they are out of the humidity dome and breathing air. i dont see roots yet, but am sure they are in there. im waiting for roots before i put them in soil. my question is, how long do cuttings live in just rockwool with water feedings? dont they need nutrition?

a good question which won't will experiment on... i start to give them a little shot of water 1/8-1/16 strangest grow fertilizer mix after about a week or the second set of leaves, so first serrated ones, you figure it?

first nutes the will get from the shell and they got a little stock of their own too...

I'm very confused. the dude is talking about cuttings and mentions a humidity dome...but then he talks about moving them to soil. I've never heard of soil guys using rockwool.

I'm not a soil guy, so I can't recommend what to do.

^^^^ You can start cuttings in rockwool and then plant the rockwool into soil.

ya they fit better in the humidity dome using rockwool. the dome is only 6 inches. when i see roots ill put them in soil. and they seem more stable
in the rockwool. they wont fall over. i was just wondering how the cuttings
get their nutes with just water and rockwool. (cuttings not seeds )

I believe the cutting uses stored energy to create new roots.

I mist foliarly for the first week or two weeks. I use some Thrive Alive Green. Others prefer superthrive. I am still figuring out how much to use as I kept burning the poor babies when I sprayed them. After the first week or two, you start with a really week solution and drip irrigation.
