If i am growing only 3 plants what wattage should i used and can i use just a metal halide threw the vegetative stage and the flowering stage. thanks alot

I would use atleast a 400w. You can use the mh all the way. I currently have 2 1000w hps and 1 1000w mh on a 6ft track. The reason I have the single mh is because it emits uv rays and the hps doesnt. The mh has a better more complete light spectrum than an hps but the hps puts out more lumens. I have noticed that the plants dont stretch as much when I use the mh. It could be me but it seemed like my buds were tastier too. That could just be me doing a good job though. lol. good luck. WM
