umm...being somewhat of a newb to this and all, i think i just did a very bad thing. someone please tell me its not that bad. i was getting antsy with my newly planted seed, so i just kinda lightly nudged away some soil to see what was going on down there. i kind of popped the seed out of its spot to maybe about an inch away. i saw what looked like a root coming out of the crack in the seed. i pushed the seed back in the hole, root face down, and covered it with soil. whats the repercussions of doing something like this?

if the taproot was still small, you should be okay...

if you didnt damage it the most it will do is delay it a little bit from the disruption, but most of us germinate in papertowels and move them into soil/rockwool or whatever.. so you should be o.k..

thanks. im just getting impatient. the thing that worries me most is if im not ready to transplant outdoors when i should. i dont want to prematurely flower and reduce yield.

how long do you have?

i have no idea really. im kind of winging it. the outdoor condition in southern cali this year (surprisingly) doesnt seem that great until maybe may. i guess i have ample time, but its still a concern.

It should be ok, but really u don't want to do anything to something so small, tender and delicate... If you don't mind a i'd be happy to provide a little advice about germinating seeds for you.

A little patience goes a long way.
I know it can be hard, but you gotta try.

yeah its all about patience ...i have to practicaly handcuff my hands behind my back and put in a gum shield when i look at my plants on the last week or so of flowering lol ...........but the wait is worth it in the end .

ive done that tons of times and it never affected anything
