I am new to the growing world I need help!

Background/my set up: I decided to turn a “bar” that is in my room into a growing box. It is just a rectangle hunk of wood that holds bottles on top. With my carpentry background I hallowed it out and added a secret opening to it. It has an intake fan at one end and dual fans at the other end forcing air threw a carbon fiber filter. The diminutions inside the box are 14 inches wide by 4 feet long and 3 feet tall. I had some extra mirror glass at my exposal, so I lined it with mirror glass. For lighting I choose the cheap and heat friendly way. I have 5, 2 –foot long florescent light fixtures, each one holds 2 bulbs. Each florescent light is 20 watts. There are 3 of the light fixtures are connected to the top and the then there is one on each end for when I start the flowering stage. I purchased some Serious Seeds White Russians (white widow and ak47 mix). I am on day 6. From the six seeds that I planted all of them finally sprouted. They range from 1-5 inches: 2 at 5 inches, 2 at 3 inches and 2 at 1 inch tall. These plants all seem to be doing just fine.

Questions.
Since space is an issue I need to my plants short. The boxes height is 36 inch tall, minus the height of the lights (3 inches), minus the height of the pot of dirt (6 inches). So that gives me about 2 feet for the height of the plant.
1. How do I keep the plants short?
2. Will this even work?
3. Do the plants keep growing taller after the vegetation phase?
I know that I should use HPS lights but all I have to work with is florescent lights.
4. Will flowering work with florescent lights?
5. The florescent lights are closer (inverse square law forlight intensity)and I have a 10 bulbs, will this be the same as a HPS light?
6. What is the best type of florescent lights I should buy?
7. Should I use a mixture of different florescent lights?
8. The store recommending GroLux aquarium lights, so I bought 2 of them for germination and vegetation phase. Does anyone know if these lights are specifically for aquariums?
9. The heat currently ranges from 80 to 90 degrees. I know that that is high for growing plants, but I’m not sure if I can do anything to lower the temperature. Is this going to be a problem?

I need alot of help and any feedback I would greatly appreciate.

i could only help u with the temp problem u want between 70-80 try using less lights weaker lights. or moving the lights fartehr away might help

LST bitches. you'll get more if you grow fewer plants horizontally with some pruning here and there. though you'll have fewer harvests per year. with such a small space, you are going to want to hit your plants from the bottom and sides too. i'd take out the mirrors and paint all of it white. ideally you'll want your temps to be in the 70"s. you've got a carpentry background; i think you can.

hey dan,

im also a new grower and i think ive got a similar setup like yours but a bit smaller.
one advice i can give you dude is that take the mirrors out of there!!!
mirrors reflects a fraction of lumen back and eats up the rest.
your better off painting the inside flat white or foil it up.
