Easy way to get CO2 for a grow

hey guys, I found this product in my hydro shop. they say it works pretty well getting 800ppm of co2 out and if on a timer can last 90 days off a timer bout 60. check it out it goes for 110.00 problem is i think you have to rebuy a new bucket for each grow:-(
CO2 Boost - All-natural CO2 Generators for the purpose of CO2 enrichment and air fertilzation

My outdoor ppm is 430
My indoor ppm is 700-800 ( live alone, no pets)

All natural? gimick. CO2 is not a 'good' gas. Doesn't matter how its produced. Sugar/yeast is all natural, as is my breath.

naturally produced CO or Methane or CHCs is a good thing?

Umm...What are you talking about? Carbon dioxide (CO2) is what plants 'breathe'. The ideal for most plants is 1500ppm but probably a bit less for marijuana. Carbon dioxide may be really bad for global warming but this isn't a forum about that, it's about marijuana, so yeah, CO2 is a good gas. If you're on a budget the CO2 boost is a good product, really it's the best if you don't have money for a tank and regulator set-up, or gas CO2 generator. The CO2 boost is not a gimmick product.

Also, when you consider your plants will be consuming the CO2 produced and turning it into O2, it does absolutely no harm...

Edit: I forgot to mention that the CO2 Boost will raise your levels a lot higher than 800ppm. I mean, it obviously depends on what size room you have.

ok guys so i am not on a budget and want to get a good source of co2 working in my room def' before I start flowering. where can you buy a reg tank. because even if i get a co2 boost bucket its 120 for the intiital bucket then 100 to refill each grow. I would be better off getting a tank just havnt been able to find one.

ya i had dthe bucket my last grow. My babies fukin loved the thing!! I could tell the difference with in a hour of putting the bucket in my grow room, they all percked up and the leaves were almost verticle they looked so happy. But the cost is a big deal and in the long run an actual tank is the best deal.

Welding supply store. (not a homedpot, they only sell the cheap welders and empty bottles)

I bought my bottle outright (renting was a waste of money in my eyes) If they ask what yo want it for, say brewing beer.

They will have the regulators too. Probably flow meter also, but I dont think brewers need to know the flow.

Bottle, reg out the door was about $200 (20lb'er)

The gas refill (actually bottle swap) is $18.

thanks a lot, I will search for a welding supply store this weekend then and get one. I figure if i am gonna grow then i better do it right and not cutt any corners:-) how long does a tank last on avg? and wondering if you can put it on a timer to collaberate with your room exaust? b/c I dont see the point in pumping in fresh air and CO2 just to exaust it right out.

I'm in the middles of adding it to my flowering room.

In the veg room, I just have a paintball can of CO2 giving 3 shots an hour nothing calibrated in the least. The co2 won't fire if the vent fans are on.

In the bloom room, I will have a CO2 meter with feedback to my controller. The controller is a PLC and runs the whole show (lights, water, CO2, fans, etc)

I'm hoping to get the bloomroom set up with the CO2 tis weekend. (its on the other side of the house, so gotta run cabling or use another PLC)

You may find the welding supply shops to be closed on the weekends or only till noon on sat.

As far as how long it lasts, there is a CO2 calculator in a sticky, I *think* in the room design forum.

thanks, yeah i am only going to worry about it for my flowering room as i will collaberate it to run when my exaust is off. for flowering i am going to do in my master bedroom with a table and my t5, i figure with my pitt sleeping at night and my gf and i will do sufficient for veg C02. my bedroom is always 70 degrees and ill use a 4x4 grow tent.

well, the way i've gotten some CO2 to my baby is by getting plain seltzer water...you know the bubbly(CO2) water. I pour a little in my pot every day...i don't even have to normal water it because it adds water at the same time(duh)
