yeah they will be under the same veg light. I just started germinating 5 of the 15 kush seeds that i have and will get them planted and in the grow room as soon as I can.

can anybody help me out, i have two hps lights a 400 and a 250, I would have just bought 1 600 but these two lights where an old friends that thought he wanted to grow and paid for the 2 lights but never even started,lol (NO IDEA) so i got them and hung onto them, now a year later I am putting them to use. I have an inline 4'' fan going into the wall resting on my top closet rack, i plan on air cooling both lights with this fan wall to wall using attic air. I am having doubts that this 170 cfm fan will do the job with both lights. QUESTION, do you guys think i will be ok cooling the 2 lights enough (or) do i need to put the 250 aside and use just the 400? Not to mention i really want to use both obviously all light will help, and moving to a 6'' fan isnt really an option b/c the fixture is already 4'' duct compatible thanks for any help you can give me.........

I would have thought for any closet, a 400w would be plenty.

I guess if you have 3000 lumens or more per square foot of grow space, you're fine.

and with a 400w HPS you want to be able to change the air in your grow room 3-5 times a minute. To calculate your room size, multiply Width by Length by Height, this will give you the CFM rating required for one room change per minute. Times that by 3 at a minimum and you have the minimum required CFM rating you need.

well my closet is 5'x4'.......and the height of the ceiling is 12 feet(I hang the lights at 6'), huge closet! i cut it off to make it 5ft with wood board. well using your calculations i need a 240cfm. I will have a 170 on the lights exaust. and i have right now a 6'' 440cfm bringing cool 70 degree ac air into the closet, and plan to install ambient room individual exaust with a carbon sok. I mean i might be lagging on the cfm's for the reflectors, but i am gonna have a lot of cool air coming in for the room.

they are both nice, would like to use them both...

looks bad ass, did you get that light (t5) set up as a whole?? i saw one a local hydro store and the price wasnt too bad....lol having two lights and not knowing which to use is a problem i would like to have...use the big one IMO ?? either way baller set up. wish i had a closet to work with again

yeah those lights look awesome... Blinky, i just started some seeds about two weeks after my first plant sprouted so we are in the same boat, should be fine tho... Yeah, did all thatcome with the light??? i have a hps buld but nothing to make it light up sadly just dont have the cash money, do you know where and how much that costs?

Thanks guys for the props, Tryintogrow I got my t5 at a local hydro shop on sale but it was still kind of costly 285.00. I love it though, and it took me 4 years to get my own place and start growing so that closet will happen for you. What up caddy, yeah i had the 2 lights in storage when i got them about 4 years ago. They both didnt come with the hoods i just picked those up...they just came with a medi reflector and ballasts/bulbs from a company called P.L. lighting. I have decided to go ahead with both hps lights when 12/12 comes around. i am gonna move the 6'' inline fan bringing in the AC to the top to use on both hoods. seeing how the hoods are already equipped for 4'' ducting and a 4'' fan i am going to use a 4'' to 6'' reductor and run the duct from the 6'' fan through the 2 hoods and back into the wall which i am pretty sure runs up to attic. then we will just use the inline 4'' fan to bring in fresh air for ambient grow room and exaust that independently with a fan and a carbon sock i have laying around. SO STAY TUNED THERE ARE GOING TO BE SOME COOL TRANSFORMATIONS AHEAD.
